Cedar Park Overhead Doors (CPOD) is proud to announce that it is a platinum presenting sponsor of the Texas Humane Heroes’ 10th annual Dog Leg Classic.

Continuing its relationship with Texas Humane Heroes, CPOD is supporting the newly reformed organization during this year’s event on May 12th. This is not the first time CPOD has teamed up with the non-profit, No Kill animal shelter to support local animals in need. CPOD has been the headline sponsor of the shelter’s annual Bowl-a-Thon three years in a row. CPOD also contributes monthly to the shelter’s food fund for the cats and dogs staying there!

“We are proud to once again sponsor the Texas Humane Heroes’ 10th Annual Dog Leg Classic,” says Don Grenier, owner of Cedar Park Overhead Doors. “I am always looking for ways to give back to the community and, since my wife and I have two rescue dogs, giving back to the local animal rescue community is the perfect fit.”

The competitive golf event is taking place on May 12th at TopGolf located at 2700 Esperanza Crossing next to the Domain. Teams of six will compete in the event for the “Best Pack” award. The entry fee for each team is $120 and includes appetizers, 2 drink tickets, a complementary T-Shirt, and door prizes. Friends and family are welcome to join in the Happy Hour festivities for $35 per person and will also receive a complementary T-Shirt and 2 drink tickets. All proceeds go toward supporting the Texas Humane Heroes shelter and their efforts to help pets find their “forever homes”. To sign up and join in on the fun, visit www.texashumaneheroes.org/golf.

Texas Humane Heroes was formed by a merger between the Humane Society of Williamson County and the CenTex Humane Society Second Chance Adoption Center. The No Kill animal welfare organization has adoption center locations in Killeen and Leander and is committed to advancing the goal of providing animals with better and longer lives. The shelter facilitates adoptions and provides low-cost spay and neuter clinics and educational presentations to schools and community groups. Its many fundraisers support the good work they do there, uniting families with their ‘forever friends.’
