Cedar Park Overhead Doors Donates More Than $1,300 to Animal Shelter After Customer Campaign

Cedar Park Overhead Doors has some of the kindest customers in the world!

After challenging homeowners to participate in its “Molly Dollars” campaign to celebrate National Puppy Day this past March, Cedar Park Overhead Doors (CPOD) was able to raise a whopping $1,330 to give to The Humane Society of Williamson County (HSWC)—where more than 200 dogs and cats await adoption.

The challenge was simple: for every garage door opener a customer purchased in March and April, CPOD offered to donate $5 to the area shelter, which for more than 30 years has been finding ‘forever homes’ for its pets.

“I have two shelter dogs myself,” says Cedar Park Overhead Doors Owner Don Grenier, who named the program after Molly—the German shorthaired pointer he adopted in 2006. “While other shelter pets still wait for good homes,” says Don, “it is important that they have a safe, secure and happy place to thrive. HSWC is just such a place and we are very happy to support its efforts.”

Since 1979, CPOD has been installing and servicing garage doors and openers in the Austin area, including steel doors, carriage-house doors, wood doors and the latest innovation—the no-maintenance wood- free door; as well as the most innovative garage door openers, outside keypads and remotes.

Good Neighbor

“We are very grateful to Cedar Park Overhead Doors for its generous donation,” says HSWC Executive Director Ron Marullo. “Cedar Park has been extremely supportive of our mission – such as last year when they installed, at cost, nine overhead doors on our new Dog Adoption Center. We consider them good neighbors in Williamson County.”

HSWC operates a ‘no-kill’ animal shelter on 22 acres in Leander, providing innovative programs and services to eliminate pet overpopulation and to improve the lives of pets and people in Williamson County. Last year, the shelter adopted more than 2,000 dogs and cats and spayed and neutered more than 3,000 animals at its low-cost clinic.

“CPOD’s generous contribution means we can continue to feed, shelter and prepare our pets for adoption throughout the year,” says Ron. “This helps save lives and helps the animals in our care to quickly find their forever families.”
In addition to installing Wood-Free doors, Cedar Park Overhead Doors installs steel doors, carriage-house doors and wood doors, all with or without insulation; as well as the very latest in garage door openers, outside keypads and remotes.
